Performs duties related to direct patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing room for procedures, placing patients in examination rooms, ascertaining pertinent medical history information, assisting providers as directed in patient examination and/or treatment, and participates in patient education. Cleans and prepares instruments and stocks examination rooms. Charts in the electronic health record. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload to meet the needs of multiple specialty providers and patients.
Full Time – 72 hours per pay period
Monday – Friday
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, graduate of an accredited nursing program, Medical Assistant Program or EMT Program
Licensure/certification: Medical Assistant certification from formal medical assistant
program or willing to obtain within 1 year, current LPN or RN license or EMT Certificate in Iowa.
Previous Work Experience: Previous medical assistant, LPN, or RN experience working in a
medical office preferred.
