Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

What is a CMA?
A Certified Medical Assistant is a vital member of the healthcare team. CMAs work in clinics and doctors’ offices, supporting doctors and nurses by checking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, handling administrative work, giving injections, and collecting patient histories.

Why CMAs Matter
CMAs help clinics run smoothly and ensure patients get the timely, quality care they deserve. They serve as the bridge between patients and medical providers.

Program Length: 1 year
Starting Pay After Graduation: $40,000/year


Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

What is an LPN?
Licensed Practical Nurses provide basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors. LPNs take vital signs, administer medications and injections, and help patients with daily activities.

Why LPNs Matter
LPNs are essential for hands-on patient care, from monitoring health to helping patients recover with comfort and dignity.

Program Length: 1 year
Starting Pay After Graduation: $40,000/year


Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

What is an MLT?
Medical Laboratory Technicians run lab tests on blood and tissue samples to help diagnose and treat health conditions. They collect, prepare, and analyze samples using advanced lab equipment.

Why MLTs Matter
Physicians and nurses count on MLTs to provide critical test results needed to make accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

Program Length: 2 years
Starting Pay After Graduation: $50,000/year


Registered Nurse (RN)

What is an RN?
Registered Nurses coordinate and deliver patient care, administer medications, educate patients and families, and provide emotional support. RNs work in hospitals, clinics, and other care settings.

Why RNs Matter
RNs are the cornerstone of healthcare, providing direct patient care, supporting recovery, and ensuring the highest quality standards.

Program Length: 2 years
Starting Pay After Graduation: $62,000/year


How the Train Up Program Works

  • Earn While You Learn: Work at MCHCS in a support role while you complete your education.
  • All Expenses Paid: MCHCS covers up to $15,000 of your tuition, fees, and books.
  • Hands-On Experience: Get training alongside experienced health professionals.
  • Guaranteed Job Placement: After graduation and certification, you’ll begin your career at MCHCS in your new role.

Basic Program Terms

  • Agreement: You’ll sign a commitment to work for MCHCS for at least 24 months after graduation.
  • Support Role: While in school, you’ll work in a PRN capacity at MCHCS.
  • Eligibility: Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher. If you don’t graduate or meet requirements, you must repay tuition (with interest).
  • Repayment: If you leave MCHCS before completing your commitment, any covered tuition must be reimbursed, plus interest.
