Bras for the Cause Donated $25,000 to Support Women’s Preventive Care in Madison County
Strengthening Access to Preventive Screenings
The Madison County Health Trust Foundation has received a generous $25,000 donation from the Madison County chapter of Bras for the Cause. The funds will directly support uninsured and underinsured women in accessing vital breast and cervical cancer screenings, as well as diagnostic testing, through Madison County Health Care System (MCHCS).
This contribution, received on Giving Tuesday, reflects the community’s shared commitment to early detection and improved health outcomes for women across Madison County.
Supporting Early Detection Through Radiology
At MCHCS, the Radiology Department provides comprehensive imaging services, including 3D mammography and other diagnostic tools essential for early detection of breast and cervical cancer. Early identification of potential concerns greatly increases the ability to treat conditions effectively and improve long-term outcomes.
“Early detection makes all the difference when it comes to breast and cervical cancer,” said Kristin Wilkinson, Radiology Technologist at MCHCS. “This donation helps ensure that more women can access the screenings and diagnostic services they need, regardless of financial barriers.”
Community Partnership Improving Local Health
Bras for the Cause is known for its dedication to improving women’s health through local fundraising and awareness events. This latest donation demonstrates the organization’s ongoing support of community partnerships that expand access to quality healthcare services.
