Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm

The Urgent Care Clinic offers convenient extended hours for patients suffering from non-life threatening illnesses and injuries.  You do not need an appointment to be seen. Patients are generally seen on a first-come, first-served basis, but you may be seen based on the severity of your illness or injury.  You may be transferred to the Emergency Department if your condition is especially severe or if you need additional testing based on labs or exam.

Common illnesses and injuries treated at Urgent Care include:

  • Simple laceration
  • Suture removal
  • Sprains and strains
  • Ear pain/infection
  • Sinus pain/infection
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Cough, cold, sore throat
  • Animal bites or stings
  • Rash or skin irritations
  • Minor burns
  • Simple bone fracture
  • Nausea, vomiting, stomach virus
  • Abdominal pain
  • Headache

Please note, Urgent Care does not fill chronic medications. Care needs related to chronic conditions should be addressed with your primary care team.

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, dial 911 or seek treatment at the nearest Emergency Room as soon as possible:

  • Chest pain
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Fainting or loss of consciousness
  • Seizure
  • Severe bleeding
  • Severe head, neck or back trauma
  • Loss of limb or severe bone fracture

The clinic has two dedicated providers, Liz Hensley, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C, and Amber Burgin, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C. However, if you have a primary care provider with Madison County Health Care System, staff will first try to schedule you a same day appointment with them. If one is available, you may choose to be seen by your primary care provider or by an Urgent Care provider.
