Burgin Joins Urgent Care Clinic Team
Madison County Health System is pleased to announce Amber Burgin, ARNP, has been named to the staff as an Urgent Care Provider at Health Trust Physicians Clinic in Winterset. Amber began seeing patients the end of September.
Amber joined Liz Hensley, ARNP in the Urgent Care Clinic. Madison County Health Care System began offering Urgent Care through its Health Trust Physicians Clinic in July of this year. Patients can be seen, without appointment Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 – 12:00 noon.
Amber started her healthcare career while in high school working as a CNA at a long-term care facility, which guided her to the decision to enter the nursing field. She graduated from Grandview University in 2004 with her BSN and later decided to pursue her Family Nurse Practitioner degree, graduating from Creighton University in 2013. Her background includes rural emergency medicine, family practice and otolaryngology.
Amber lives on a farm near Perry with husband, Scott and three boys, Tanner, Aiden and Alec. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, reading, running and cheering on her boys at various sporting events.
