Maintenance Mechanic – Certified

JOB SUMMARY

Performs duties related to the maintenance and repair of equipment within the Hospital, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Performs duties related to the general maintenance of the facility for the hospital. Assists maintenance staff where needed. Participates in a rotating call schedule.

Full Time – 80 hrs per pay period
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm ( flexible)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure/certification: Hydronic and/or Plumbing or HVAC license preferred. Annual asbestos awareness training required.

Previous Work Experience: Two years’ previous experience in maintenance related field with demonstrated experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and boiler operation required.

Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English with people from diverse
professional, educational and lifestyle backgrounds. Ability to read and write legibly and give and understand/follow written and verbal directions. Requires organizational and self motivational skills in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks. Ability to remain calm, cheerful, and professional in stressful situations and focused amid interruptions in a fast paced environment.
